Handguns
This is going a short list of pistols I would recommend but it is, again, by no means a end all be all list. Now you must imagine, if things were to go South Africa style sideways what would be the most common ammunition available, 9mm and 5.56 /223. A majority of police departments are fielding 9mm pistols, military has the Sig m17/m18 in 9mm, so it stands to reason to pick the most common item available IF you need to make do with what someone else dropped.

Great list, i would also add the M&P 2.0 series, they seem to be 3rd in line for aftermarket parts and magazine availability behind Glock and Sig, and would also add that both p80 and Sig 320 can be had in 80% form, for maximum freedoming.
